Remember, remember the 23rd of November…
Zane Banks is a guitarist and fretted stringed instrument enthusiast who has traveled extensively through the USA tracing the roots of bluegrass, blues, jazz and rock & roll. In 2011, he and his brother completed ‘the blues trail’, driving from Chicago to New Orleans.
This trip was full of many wonderful musical experiences however, nothing could prepare them for the terrifying, and uniquely American ordeal, they would endure while staying Memphis.
From time travel to cats, Wit Large Broadcast brings together comedians, public intellectuals, and storytellers for an imaginative, smart, fun podcast recorded in front of a live audience.
We’re very pleased to announce our next recording show of Broadcast will take place on Saturday 23 November at the Chippendale Hotel.
FEATURING: improvisor extraordinaire Rebecca De Unamuno (702’s TGIF), Zane Banks (a PhD candidate in the role of electric guitar in blues music), rising comedy star and former illegal immigrant, Umit Bali (Coming to Australia), and A Rational Fear regular and award-winning funny lady, Alice Fraser (Aggressively Helpful, Word Crime).
Combining some of the most exciting minds and culture creators from Sydney and beyond, this is a show to be missed at your own peril.
